Yes! Studies reveal that premises with security systems were three to four times less likely to be burglarised. It’s all about making your premises harder to rob than others.

Yes! In most cases insurance companies know that you are less likely to be burgled if a security system is installed. Hence insurance companies are less likely to have to pay large insurance claims on stolen property and are willing to give significant discounts to their customers that install monitored security systems in their premises. The level of discount depends on the individual insurance company and before making any decisions you should seek accurate advice regarding discounts from your individual insurance provider.
Your security system allows a brief period for you to turn off your system before an alarm signal is sent to the Monitoring Control Room. This gives you enough time to cancel the signal and prevent a false alarm.
Almost all professionally installed alarm systems come with an internal back-up battery. This means that during power outages the alarm system will automatically switch to the back-up battery. The back-up battery will ensure your alarm system is powered for several hours, depending on how much you use the system during this time. After the main power of your premises comes back on, the alarm system will begin recharging the back-up battery until it is at full power again. We recommend that your back-up battery is replaced yearly to ensure your system continues to operate effectively during power outages.
Australian standard AS2201.1 requires that your security system be maintained once per year as a minimum with no more than thirteen months between visits. We recommend that your back-up battery is replaced yearly. When you have a security system installed by INCITE, we will remind you annually that your system is due for preventative maintenance.
A local alarm simply makes a lot of noise by setting off the sirens if an intruder enters your premises and activates the alarm. It is then up to your neighbours to investigate the cause of the alarm, contact the police or in some instances, ignore the alarm activation. This, of course, is dependent on your neighbours being home at the time. A back-to-base alarm system not only makes a lot of noise, but at the same time communicates to the Monitoring Control Room. The Monitoring Control Room staff can then phone your nominated contact people, a guard service, as well as notify the appropriate authorities. This kind of system offers you a much higher level of security. Monitoring fees do apply.
Yes! We have sourced many pet-friendly movement sensors, which can easily detect an intruder whilst ignoring a family pet roaming around indoors. Simply let us know that you have indoor pets at the time of quotation and we will advise you on the most suitable sensors for your premises.
Our systems are very user-friendly. Some of our systems can be armed and disarmed by swiping an access token against the keypad. We have found that most children over the age of eight years have no trouble using most of our systems.
Yes! We can discuss with you some options and recommendations on what part of the alarm (which rooms and doors etc) you would like to activate before retiring to bed. This will then be programmed by our technician. Once this has been programmed, the alarm system can be activated in the “stay” mode which will arm key areas of your home whilst leaving other areas turned off to allow you to move around some of the house.
We design CCTV Systems by evaluating your specific requirements, so you can rest assured that your new CCTV system will provide the right level of protection for your home. A wide range of features and options are available, which our Security Consultant will discuss with you to ensure that your CCTV System meets your needs and budget.
CCTV Cameras that feature monochrome mode, like IR (infrared) Cameras, can capture video footage in dark environments. The quality of the footage depends on lighting conditions, with better lighting providing better quality video footage.
Following the CCTV installation at your home, ongoing service and maintenance is required. Maintenance is critical to increase the life of your equipment, minimise potential downtime and overall reduce the risk to your property and assets. Cameras and equipment collect cobwebs, cables connected may become damaged or loose and system firmware updates may need to be processed. Preventative maintenance will give you the confidence that your CCTV system will work effectively every time it is needed and ensure your equipment is continued to be covered by any manufacturer’s warranty. When INCITE completes a maintenance on your CCTV system, we’ll perform a list of comprehensive tests and checks, according to Australian Standards. A maintenance report will also be provided on completion.
We believe CCTV is a valuable investment. CCTV is one of the most effective criminal deterrents on the market. Even if a crime does take place, you benefit by having video footage of the act. CCTV footage becomes evidence if someone needs to be prosecuted. CCTV Systems have other practical uses too such as giving you live video footage to monitor the safety of your children, an elderly person or your pets. These components become your eyes when you can’t be at home yourself.
